This railway station is located on the line that heads towards Manchester in one direction, and Stoke-on-Trent in the other. There is a small amount of car parking spaces located near platform 2 which could perhaps take maybe 3 cars at best. I won't be in any particular great rush to park my car there simply because there is no obvious CCTV overlooking the car park, and access to this small car park is not very good at all, quite simply because the car park is situated right next door to an industrial site that includes a car dealership and garage repair service, therefore access to parking your car near platform 2 isn't that great really at all.Considering parking spaces for cars on platform one, there really isn't any official car parking space on that side of the platform so if you wanted to take a train towards Stoke-on-Trent it would be far easier if somebody dropped you off on that side rather than you leave your car anywhere near that part of the station, and that is why I have given this place a rating of only three stars.Looking at the better parts of this station, there is a digital display board on both sides of the station, and both platforms do have covered waiting areas, and there is also a bike rack located on platform one which can perhaps hold two or three bikes at best (at any one time). There is absolutely no means that I could see where you could buy a ticket if you wanted to, so you would have to either purchase it in advance, or buy it on board the train. This railway station is a reasonably busy railway station in terms of trains passing through it, but there aren't as many trains if you want to actually get on (and board the train).

Better than Stoke station because it's less busy. Shame there's only 2 trains that go here.
