Visited today and, as usual, no Italian teacake as they've "sold out". Whenever I visit here (which is fairly regularly) its the same story. Given it seems to be a popular choice, I don't understand why they don't order more in.
Very pleasant afternoon spent with friends, pleasant atmosphere, good service, piping hot food.
Food and drink very good. Service quite slow. Serving lady did not place food and drinks down. More like threw them on the table and did not speak, must have had a bad day!!! But Italian tea cake beautiful.
Food is nice but way to expensive for what it is. Everytime I go the tables have never been wiped clean from previous sitters. In fact I've never seen anyone clear the tables whilst I've been sat there. Shame.
Never have any teacakes and Cappuccinos are hit and miss, presumably down to a lack of staff training. Some staff are great, some give the impression they'd rather be somewhere else. A mixed bag.
