This is a fascinating place to go not only to see the history of the industry but to purchase items. But be warned if its made in England your after then you won't find many items a high percentage are made in China.
It's a nice place but access and parking were a nightmare when there was a market recently (9th Dec 2018). They need to provide more parking and stop people from leaving cars in areas that make access really difficult. My car was nearly damaged by someone trying to squeeze through a tiny gap caused by an inconsiderate parker. I'd consider visiting again but not when it's busy.
Easily found, plenty of parking. Wheelchair/buggy friendly. Went on the experience tour, was really interesting, particularly enjoyed watching the decoration process. Liked the idea that you could go around on your own again if there were specific areas of interest. Reasonably priced gift shop. Main pottery shop rather more expensive, however, take a look at the factory outlet area, some bargains to be had there. Tea rooms and restaurant style catering, not for the small budget!!
A wonderful experience. The museum is brilliant. Far too much to absorb in one visit but without detracting from the experience. The histoy, artwork, craftmanship and technology are all superb.
My wife is a massive fan of Jasper, but was in seventh heaven in the museum (covers so much more). She fell in love with the new Blue Pebble range, at cost to my pocket although there was a massive 25% off! Also loved the on-site restaurant - chicken noodles were gorgeous!
