Only there overnight but the warden was welcoming and very helpful. Good location close to Alton Towers, but also good for more traditional Scout activities.
The staff were rude and need to learn basic manners like please and thank you (although there were 2 really lovely staff there). The food wasn't cooked properly and they need to be more organised with serving food - at one point there was an hours wait. Food hygiene needs to be looked at as there was hair in the food. They wouldn't produce an ingredient list for the bread when requested.
The staff are horrible and abusive no sense of respect, and the food is inedible :/ DO NOT RECCOMEND
Very accommodating to larp groups. Lovely site, friendly staff. Remained friendly when my car got stuck in the mud (my fault) and kindly tractored it out.
Great place, they also accept groups or singular non scouts if you call in advance.
